God’s Own land- Arunachal Pradesh; a sheer nature’s Paradise


Arunachal Pradesh in recent times gaining worldwide acclamation as one of the richest biodiversity and heritage spots.

But, many of us don’t know that encompassing extensive geographical diversity with a variety of rare wildlife, flora and fauna.

Arunachal Pradesh is arguably the only Indian state that claims it to have four varieties of the big cats in its jungles of Tiger Leopard, clouded Leopard and snow Leopard.

In this incredible beautiful state, more than 500 species of birds have been recorded, many of which are highly endangered and restricted to this state.

One of Asia’s largest Orchadrium is in Arunachal Pradesh and almost every district of Arunachal has its own exclusive and rare variety of Orchids.

Until, recent past travel to Arunachal Pradesh was highly restricted to foreigners due to its proximity to China.

However, the Indian Govt relaxed permits in 2008 and added five new tourist circuits, bringing the total number to 11. Perhaps, the most superb tourist attraction in Arunachal Pradesh is Tawang Monastery.

Perched at 10,000 feet above sea level, it overlook Tawang valley near the border of Bhutan. The Monastery is the largest Buddhist monasteries in India. It also has a fascinating collection of Thangkas
