Development is the buzzword in Arunachal

With agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, dairy development, tea, rubber cultivation, tourism, health, education and sports and youth development being the thrust areas of development, the CM said while new policies are being framed to achieve various goals, higher, technical and medical colleges are being opened to develop skilled manpower.

The Tea Board of India and Rubber Board of India at his initiative are ready to extend help in tea and rubber cultivation. New policies of the Tuki government includes self-employment schemes for youth with Rs4 crore earmarked for schemes with 50% subsidy; Rs3 crore for CM’s Health Insurance scheme; Rs3 lakh subsidy for creating facilities, become tour operators and guides to boost tourism; Rs25 lakh and Rs1 crore for taking part and winning gold medal in Olympics respectively. Besides fund for conducting rural sports, Rs6.23 crore earmarked for sports infrastructures all over the state covering each village; Rs36 crore sanctioned for developing a cultural village at Itanagar; Rs1.5 crore earmarked for tribal festivals; and Rs1,000 monthly allowance for the handicapped.

Reflecting that it proves ‘paisa kam kaam jyada’ he happily announced sanction of Rs2.38 crore under SPA this fiscal for its completion. He also announced Rs2 crore this fiscal for tea & rubber cultivation as pleaded by ETGM for toeing GoAP line; township roads for Manmao, Nampong and Rima-Putak circles to be taken under RIDF, CRPF, NLCPR schemes and Rs1 crore under SPA this fiscal for building a convention hall with 500-capacity at Terit Nagar.

Tuki assured that water supply schemes would be considered next year under NRDWP while informing another tourist lodge with indigenous architect would be recommended to the Center. He also assured funds for Jairampur circuit house and to take up the issue of extension of gas pipeline from Jagun in Assamto Jairampur with ONGC.

He advocated that the state leaders should move the GoAP for early reopening of the Stillwell road in the greater welfare of entire North Eastern region. Timber and other products from Myanmar would boost the regions’ economy, he justified.

He lauded the CM for accepting his development ideas while explaining the philosophy behind the CMLSM and developing the ETGS, the second inspired by Mein, who earlier inaugurated the tea factory set up at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.17 crore by 249 share holders with Rs. 6.39 crore loan from NCDC with a capacity to produce 25,000 kg tea daily. He thanked Izmir Tikhak and Lemkhung Mossang and land donors of Longwan village for their contributions.

The present GoAP initiatives would herald a new era by tapping the vast natural resources of the state while developing skilled manpower through the innovative school, said WRD Parliamentary Secretary Tinghap Taiju.

Arunachal to witness socio- economic development

A complete package comprising adventure, religious, spiritual, health, cultural and eco tourism has been suggested by Chief Minister Nabam Tuki for a holistic growth of the tourism sector of the state here.

Appreciating the locals for introducing home stay facility for the tourists and construction of many new hotels, he said these ventures would lead to self-sustaining development and eradication of poverty.

To boost tourism, 100 educated unemployed youths were given taxies on subsidy under Mukhyamantri Paryatan Vikash Yojana. The scheme would continue and more taxies should be given to Tawang considering the communication hazard of the area.

Pasighat achieves visible development

Pasighat has been in limelight for its stupendous development in various sectors including infrastructure, education, agriculture and visible developments have been achieved by the government in the education sector in particular under the leadership of the present Education Minister Bosiram Siram and Union Minister of State Ninong Ering during last four years. This was said by Chief Minister Nabam Tuki while addressing the people here at the Sikshak Sadan after inaugurating the newly constructed Polytechnic College, Administrative Block of JNC, DDSE office, the state’s first Shikshak Sadan and Information Technology College at Pasighat in presence of ministers, MLAs and Govt officers.

Stating that factors like infrastructure, connectivity and human resources are given additional thrust, the Chief Minister said vast investments were required and dynamics of the knowledge city could be understood by imagining a society that is aimed at knowledge creation and propagation under care of the education minister.

“The development of knowledge city at Pasighat is a direct consequence of making the educational quality and infrastructure national standard.  The knowledge city would help the evolution of knowledge economy and accelerating the development of human capital by providing high quality education and specialized skills to the students. The development of knowledge city, with unparalleled infrastructure, centers for innovation and institutes for specialized studies will make Pasighat the preferred destination for the academic world,” said the Chief Minister. The CM further said the township would have dedicated rail and air services, long lasting cement concrete road network, district secretariat soon. Such an integrated township that is expected to facilitate high standard live-work infrastructure would physically link the town to its logical extensions and is going to be one of the biggest and the best live-work infrastructure in the entire state, added Tuki.

Before concluding his speech, the Chief Minister appreciated the teaching community for the hard work and sincerity. He emphasized on promoting basic qualities in teachers like discipline, punctuality, patience, diligence, courtesy, trustworthiness and compassion so that they could nurture the children to set examples of high moral rectitude, educational, academic and moral excellence enabling them to serve their communities as worthy citizens in future. For their best services they would be awarded with teacher talent awards, he added.

The state government has conducted a research study organizing job melas that has revealed the changing aspiration of the youths. The survey concluded that the youths of the state are very vibrant and ready for change and many of them have got preferable jobs minimizing unemployment problems. He also made aware the people about other initiatives taken by the government like enhancement of Labor wages, issuing licenses to the SHGs to open counters etc. He apprised the people that government is putting all efforts to issue Health Insurance Cards to the people including govt. employees soon which would help the people to get free medical services across the nation.

Responding to memorandum submitted by the ATA President Tabung Ering, the Chief Minister assured to consider the genuine issues on humanitarian ground.

Earlier, Education Minister Bosiram Siram and UMoS Ninong Ering said that Pasighat has always been blessed by the care and kinds of the present Chief Minister Nabam Tuki. Duo added, the present government under the dynamic leadership of Tuki has given State University, Agriculture University, Polytechnic College, approved Railway and Air services for people of the district. According to them the state is marching towards the tremendous developments under care of the present people friendly government.  Among others, Minister Industries Tapang Taloh, Minister for Geo & Mining and Art & Culture and Food and Civil Supplies Kamlung Mossang, MLAs J K Panggeng, Karikho Kri, Ralom Borang, Alo Libang and DC Opak Gao, SP Devendar Arya, ZPC Kaling Dai and Chief Councilor Denong Tamuk were present on the occasion.
