Pasighat has been in
limelight for its stupendous development in various sectors including
infrastructure, education, agriculture and visible developments have been
achieved by the government in the education sector in particular under the
leadership of the present Education Minister Bosiram Siram and Union Minister
of State Ninong Ering during last four years. This was said by Chief Minister
Nabam Tuki while addressing the people here at the Sikshak Sadan after
inaugurating the newly constructed Polytechnic College, Administrative Block of
JNC, DDSE office, the state’s first Shikshak Sadan and Information Technology
College at Pasighat in presence of ministers, MLAs and Govt officers.
Stating that factors
like infrastructure, connectivity and human resources are given additional
thrust, the Chief Minister said vast investments were required and dynamics of
the knowledge city could be understood by imagining a society that is aimed at
knowledge creation and propagation under care of the education minister.
“The development of
knowledge city at Pasighat is a direct consequence of making the educational
quality and infrastructure national standard. The knowledge city would
help the evolution of knowledge economy and accelerating the development of
human capital by providing high quality education and specialized skills to the
students. The development of knowledge city, with unparalleled infrastructure,
centers for innovation and institutes for specialized studies will make
Pasighat the preferred destination for the academic world,” said the Chief
Minister. The CM further said the township would have dedicated rail and air
services, long lasting cement concrete road network, district secretariat soon.
Such an integrated township that is expected to facilitate high standard
live-work infrastructure would physically link the town to its logical
extensions and is going to be one of the biggest and the best live-work
infrastructure in the entire state, added Tuki.
Before concluding his
speech, the Chief Minister appreciated the teaching community for the hard work
and sincerity. He emphasized on promoting basic qualities in teachers like
discipline, punctuality, patience, diligence, courtesy, trustworthiness and
compassion so that they could nurture the children to set examples of high
moral rectitude, educational, academic and moral excellence enabling them to
serve their communities as worthy citizens in future. For their best services
they would be awarded with teacher talent awards, he added.
The state government
has conducted a research study organizing job melas that has revealed the
changing aspiration of the youths. The survey concluded that the youths of the
state are very vibrant and ready for change and many of them have got
preferable jobs minimizing unemployment problems. He also made aware the people
about other initiatives taken by the government like enhancement of Labor
wages, issuing licenses to the SHGs to open counters etc. He apprised the
people that government is putting all efforts to issue Health Insurance Cards
to the people including govt. employees soon which would help the people to get
free medical services across the nation.
Responding to
memorandum submitted by the ATA President Tabung Ering, the Chief Minister
assured to consider the genuine issues on humanitarian ground.
Earlier, Education
Minister Bosiram Siram and UMoS Ninong Ering said that Pasighat has always been
blessed by the care and kinds of the present Chief Minister Nabam Tuki. Duo
added, the present government under the dynamic leadership of Tuki has given
State University, Agriculture University, Polytechnic College, approved Railway
and Air services for people of the district. According to them the state is
marching towards the tremendous developments under care of the present people
friendly government. Among others, Minister Industries Tapang Taloh,
Minister for Geo & Mining and Art & Culture and Food and Civil Supplies
Kamlung Mossang, MLAs J K Panggeng, Karikho Kri, Ralom Borang, Alo Libang and
DC Opak Gao, SP Devendar Arya, ZPC Kaling Dai and Chief Councilor Denong Tamuk
were present on the occasion.
