884 Job Seekers turns up for Job Mela




Chief Minister Nabam Tuki’s dream project to provide employment to the unskilled and unemployed youths of the state through Job Mela attracted several hundred of unemployed youths at Amik Ringya Hall in Tezu on 5 March last. Youths of different age were seen making beeline to search for a job opportunity of their choices.
  
A total of 884 male and female enrolled their names for the Job Mela. There was a big rush in and around the corridor of the venue. Experts representing different corporate houses and institutions gave counseling to the job seekers from Lohit and Anjaw. The unskilled and unemployed had the option to select from diverse professional courses viz beautician, hospitality, fashion designing, computer course etc. 

Speaking as a Chief Guest ADC Lohit said that the noble idea of Job Mela is the brainchild of the Chief Minister to provide job opportunity to the unemployed youths in PVT sectors, as there are limited scopes in securing government job. However she advised the youths who are studying to continue with their studies, but look for scopes and seek for job opportunities later after completing their studies.
A.K Sharma, Joint Director, District Industries welcoming the youths at the Job Mela said that youths hailing from interior part of the country could benefit from such Job Mela because there is an opportunity to receive vocational training and placement in various companies in the metropolitan cities of the country on completion of skilled training programme
