The three-day Budget session
of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will begin today with the customary address
by Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma
Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, who also holds the Finance portfolio, would place the vote on account for six months as there will be no full-fledged budget presentation during the session, keeping in view the forthcoming Parliamentary as well as Assembly elections.
The Lokayukta Bill is also likely to be introduced for consideration and passing during this session
The state Cabinet in its meeting on Saturday decided to move the bill in the current session to enact a law to stump out corruption on the lines of Lokpal Bill of the Centre.
