ITANAGAR: The members of the Legislative Assembly today paid rich tribute to departed leaders -

The House also observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed leaders.
Expressing his sorrow, Chief Minister Nabam Tuki said that the untimely demise of the Union Minister for Rural Development Gopinath Munde this morning was a great loss for the country. Late Munde who belonged to OBC community had risen from grassroot level and in both social & political sphere contributed hugely for the society and nation building.
In his obituary reference CM also said Late Techi Teli was a popular leader and represented 14 Doimukh consecutively for two terms. Tuki said that Late Teli was a student leader, social activist and public leader and was associated with number of organizations. Hailing from Jote village, he had held the charges of UD & Tax & Excise as minister.
Tuki while also paying his obituary reference to Late Newlai Tingkhatra said the he was good administrator, gifted with managerial skill, a wildlife lover, besides also a social worker, an able politician and a good human being. His contribution towards the community and state will always be remembered.
While paying his obituary reference to Rev. T.G. Rinpoche, Tuki said that Rev. Rinpoche was a doctorate of Buddhist Studies and also worked for development of mutual understanding and building relationships of various cultures and religions to promote and maintain peaceful co-existence and held various posts including post of Chairman of Dept. of Karmic Adhyatmic . Numerous Monasteries, stupas, cottage industries and educational institutions in the Buddhist belt of West Kameng & Tawang bear testimony to his many accomplishments. Rev. Rinpoche had also received global accolades as an excellent social worker and a respected spiritual leader. CM said that Rev. Rinpoche was instrumental in introducing of Bodhi as third language in two districts of West Kameng & Tawang. He was an able minister and seasoned legislator, he added. Extending solidarity with the Buddhist community and the entire Himalayan region, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed Spiritual Guru and former Minister.
Chowna mein, Pema Khandu, Tanga Byaling, Honchun Ngandam, Thanwang Wangham, P.D. Sona, Phosum Khimhun, Japu Deru, Wangki Lowang also paid their obituary references to the departed senior leaders and offered their heartfelt tributes to the departed leaders.
Bills: Bills passed by fifth Legislative Assembly during its 10th & 13th session and assented by the Governor were laid in the table of the House:

The CM, who holds the charge of Parliamentary Affairs, moved three nos. of Motion regarding election of members to serve on the Committee of pubic Accounts, Committee on Estimates and Committee on Public undertakings.
