ITANAGAR: Gohpur tinali witnessed a development as new market has been opened up at APMC Complex, under the initiative of the Ward No 2 Councilor and Agriculture Department.
The idea for opening up the new market was conceived and initiated by Ward No 2 Councilor Tatung Tania with help of the agriculture department, especially concern officer in-charge Dolang Akum, ADO and MK Gui, Ml.
This move will give the local shopkeepers and vendors of the said area a big sigh of relief as their old roadside market was evicted for construction of highway, the Councilor said in a release.
He suggested each and every shopkeeper/vendor to keep the market area neat and clean and use dustbin to maintain cleanliness.
While seeking cooperation for smooth running of the market, he requested the public not to encroach the market area in the greater interest of the general public and the business community. He assured them to provide a necessary means for lifting garbage.
Meanwhile, the business community and general public of the Ward expressed gratitude to the Councilor, Director of Agriculture Department, Agriculture Officer In-Charge and also the state Administration for opening up the market.
