For Sustainable Development In Pasighat Modern Technology Will Be Used PMC

Aadil Mir, PASIGHAT, June 14: In its 9th Business meeting held at the PMC conference hall. Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) emphasized on planned and use of modern technology for sustainable development of Pasighat .

Emphasizing the need of maintaining cleanliness in all municipal wards, Panyang advised the councilors to be more pro-active and people friendly to make the town spick and span.
The council should strive for attaining clean and garbage free town with a concrete plan of solid waste management. They should work with a mission to provide all amenities to citizens making the historical town as citizen friendly, peaceful and crime free model town, he said.
The MEO commented revenue generation would be possible to provide better civic facilities but users’ fee collection process should be easy and transparent.
Chief Councilor Denong Tamuk said PMC had taken a number of steps for planned development of urban areas with a view to provide amenities to citizens but the pace of urbanization is very fast in the township and unplanned development of the town would cause great harm to everybody. If we fail to change the situation, then the situation would go beyond control.
Tamuk also informed that Pasighat will soon get an ultra-modern and scientific slaughtering house.
Meanwhile Deputy Chief Councilor Atik Pertin presented a detail report on action taken so far. He advised the councilors to be equipped with information, presentation, replies and quarry sheets while attending business meetings.

After a daylong meeting, various resolutions moved by councilors were unanimously adopted on sanitation and solid waste management, urban poverty alleviation, urban forestry, protection of environment, safeguarding the weaker section, handicapped and mentally retarded persons, burial and crematorium, cattle ponds, slaughtering house, land disputes and protection, promotion of health service, cleanliness and promotion education and culture.
