5,000cr Will Be Invested To Set Up 8K Towers In North East. Telecom Commission Cleared The Proposal.

Aadil Mir, June 17: Minister of Communications and Information technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said improving telecom connectivity in the north east is one of the top priorities of the government. The government will invest Rs 5,000 crore to set up over 8,000 mobile towers in the region. He said the Telecom Commission had cleared the proposal a few days ago.

EDUCATION SYSTEM IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Arunachal Pradesh has made significant progress in the field of Education. Literacy rate in the State has increased from 25% (1981 Census) to approximately 66% as per 2011 Census. However, unlike other States almost all educational institutions in the State are Government Institutions. The inadequacy of these physical facilities is a hindrance to proper functioning and qualitative improvement of education in the State. Thus, for ensuring access to universal elementary education, the State needs special support from the Central Government.
